Kukkiwon International Poomsae Seminar 2025 @ SGMA KOGARAH

SGMA are proud to announce we are hosting an International Poomsae Seminar, right here at SGMA Kogarah – with special and distinguished guests live and direct from Kukkiwon World Taekwondo Headquarters and World Taekwondo, Seoul Korea.

Join our special guests: (WT) International Poomsae Referee and 9th Dan Kukkiwon Grandmaster Jung Yong Won, along with Professor of Poomsae and Kukkiwon 9th Dan Grandmaster Kim Gi-Hwan for a morning of Poomsae excellence with two of the world's best. Get up close and personal with hands on instruction from the world's best right here in our home dojang.

THIS EVENT IS EXCLUSIVE TO ALL SGMA STUDENTS ONLY.

Event Schedule

9am-10am 
Warm-up & Poomsae revision with Master George

10am-11am
Poomsae fundamentals and demonstrations with Kukkiwon Professor 9th Dan Grandmaster Kim Gi-Hwan & World Taekwondo International Referee 9th Dan Kukkiwon Grandmaster Jung Yong Won. Running through the 30 min of Coloured Belt Poomsae and 30 min of Black Belt Poomsae. Also in attendance will be AUSTKD New South Wales State President and 8th Dan Kukkiwon Grandmaster Bilal Elmowy.

11am-12pm Photo opportunity with Grandmasters & warm-down + recap session with Master George

IMPORTANT
Students in attendance to wear traditional white SGMA dobok, no rolled sleeves, no t-shirts, no shoes and must have their dobok clean and ironed should they be allowed on the mat on the day.

SPECTATORS
Spectators are welcome to join us on the day and take photos, videos, supporting student participation on the day.
